Discover China Through its Stories(Season 5) Discover China Through its Stories, a bilingual Chinese culture video course series jointly directed by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the PRC and New Channel International Education Group, integrates language learning, Chinese culture knowledge and cross-cultural communication. Background: The case should explain the relevant circumstances of the story: time, location, characters, cause of the event, etc. Theme: The case must have a theme. It is recommended to start the case from the most rewarding and enlightening prospective, and then choose and establish the theme. Context: Go through all the original materials of the case and select the targeted content. Results: The case should explain the teaching ideas, describe the teaching process, and explain the teaching outcome, that is, the immediate effect of such teaching measures, including students' reflections and teachers' feelings. Comment and analysis: The author must have certain opinions and analysis on the topics and content reflected in the case, including the teaching methodology, process, results, and its pros and cons. 2. Content Requirements The Chinese national flag, national anthem, national emblem, map, etc., should be used correctly in all case materials. Production requirements: Cases are divided into two types: text cases (text/pictures/charts, etc.) and multimedia cases (video/audio, etc.). 1. Text case There is no intellectual error or typo; all pictures used are clear and without copyright issues. 2. Multimedia case File format: the video resolution is not less than 1920×1080 pixels; the video bit rate is not less than 8Mbps; the audio sampling rate is 48kHz; the video format is mp4 or mov; a single file size is less than 2G. Image quality: The image should have good lighting conditions, low noise, reasonable white balance, aperture, exposure compensation and other parameters; the lens should be stable without jitter; the image should be filmed with horizontal screen with accurate focus; audio and video should be well synchronized; teachers should dress-up appropriately; no logo should be showed in the image; no obvious clipping error should be found. Sound quality: The background should be quiet without echo; the sound has no obvious distortion; the sound volume is stable with no obvious noise; the accompanying sound is clear, full, and mellow; there is no obvious proportion between the character dialogue and the live sound; there is no obvious dis-proportionality between the character dialogue and the background music.
