Harbin Normal University (HRBNU) locates in the northeastern city of Harbin. With its unique style of architecture, Harbin has a reputation of “Eastern Paris”｡ HRBNU was founded in 1951. It is the center of higher teacher education, higher arts education, educational science and research and teacher training in Heilongjiang Province. The TCFL Teacher Training Center of Heilongjiang Province is here as well. It serves as the only training base of TCFL teachers in the province and is the only college authorized by MOE to take the tasks of registration and testing affairs of TCFL in Heilongjiang province. Also, HRBNU is a testing center of Mandarin Chinese and HSK authorized by Hanban. At present, HRBNU has an enrollment of more than 42,000 and has established cooperation relationship with over 40 universities from Russia, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Britain and other nations and regions. Since 1984, HRBNU has fostered more than 8,000 international students from South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United States, and Canada, etc. Now HRBNU enrolls over 900 long-term and short-term international students every year.
