Beijing University of Technology (formerly known as Beijing Polytechnic University) was founded in 1960. It is a key university under the administration of the Beijing municipal government, which has established a multi-disciplinary academic structure. The university has 23 colleges and institutes, 47 undergraduate programs, 37 master degree programs and 18 doctoral programs. Currently, there are over 3000 faculty and staff, over 1,500 of which are full-time teachers, 6 members of Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering and 262 PhD supervisors. We have a total enrollment of over 12,000 full-time undergraduate students, more than 8,600 postgraduate students and 704 international students from 76 countries and regions, among which 208 are degree-seeking students.
