Founded in 1950, Bohai University (BU) is a comprehensive University by Liaoning Province. BU now consists of 16 colleges as College of Literature, College of Chemical Engineering, College of Math and Physics, College of Engineering and College of Economy and Law, etc.. BU offers 44 undergraduate programs and 76 graduate programs. While still laying stress on basic sciences, the university has paid special attention to the development of Automation and Food Science. In March 2014, there were 25,000 undergraduates and postgraduates, more than 420 international students.
