Ludong University was founded in 1930 and located in Yantai. It predominates in disciplines such as Chinese Education, Life Science and Shipbuilding and Oceanography Engineering. The University has 22 colleges and offers 75 undergraduate programs, 82 graduate programs and 1 doctorate program. As one of the first 200 universities authorized by the Ministry of Education to recruit foreign students, one of the CIS (Confucius Institute Scholarship) accepting institutes and one of the HSK and BCT test centers, Ludong University has established friendly cooperative relationships with 86 institutions of higher learning and educational research organizations. It has started 5 joint educational programs and 1 joint educational institution with universities, established a Confucius institute with the help of French universities, and conducted undergraduate educational programs on “2+2” and “3+1” models. Over 10000 international students have studied here.
